iPhone 11 is being
assembled in India at Foxconn’s Chennai plant. This will benefit the company to
avoid a 20 percent import duty. It will
boost, India’s ”Make in India !” Campaign.
Earlier, Apple
started manufacturing of iPhones in India
at Bengaluru in 2017. Apple has three suppliers Foxconn, Wistron and Pegatron
for its iPhone models.
Before iPhone 11,
the iPhone models iPhone7, iPhone XR,
iPhone SE and iPhone 6S were manufactured
in India.
